This origami piece started out as the traditional paper fortune teller from childhood.  The patterned side of the paper ended up not showing on the fortune teller side, so I kept folding corners down and got this very lovely shape.  With bigger paper, it might have ended up as a candy dish with small pieces tucked in the four pockets....  Mary
