Since Halloween was three days ago, the whole retail world has turned to Christmas overnight.  While I fully appreciate that many retail businesses do as much as 50% of their sales during the holiday season, easing into all the glitter and lights would be nice.  Christmas carols are delightful and heartwarming, but I am personally sick to death of all the terrible renditions of them by the time December 25 actually gets here.

At least I can start watching Christmas movies with impunity now.  A few of my favorites are White Christmas (of course), Christmas in Connecticut, Love Actually, and the amazing It's a Wonderful Life....  Mary
