April 6

Rick and I drove up to Wausau today to the Woodson Art Museum for an origami exhibit, Folding Paper: The Infinite Possibilities of Origami.  It was utterly amazing!  The variety and quality of work was phenomenal.

There was also a second exhibit of works in paper that was equally as breathtaking, Calvin Nicholls: Paper Sculpture by Design.  The dozens of pieces are all done completely in snipped and layered paper.  Simply astonishing!

As a permanent exhibit, the museum has Owen Gromme's painting studio set up in an exhibition space with some of his original paintings.  It is an amazingly Spartan space for such a prolific painter, but then maybe that was his secret....  Mary
